Well, they really enjoyed that unexpected stopover – went for a walk through a beautiful avenue of grand old trees, visited the art galleries and even bought a beautiful quirky iron turtle. The owners of the motel were very helpful with the car and didn’t charge any extra for very very late checkout. Thank you!”

“Such an amazing stay, lovely and peaceful, the beds we’re comfortable and the unit was extremely clean. the other thing we liked was there was plenty of heaters including the bedrooms and there were ample spare blankets and electric blankets on the bed as well. the shower was lovely and stayed at a consistent heat which was amazing. we would happily stay here again in a heartbeat it was absolutely wonderful”

“Friendly welcome when we arrived, our host had put on the heaters so it was lovely and cosy in the very homey apartment. Milk and plunger coffee were provided and there is a pretty little rose garden at the back. Well equipped kitchen area. Everything very clean and we’ll thought out. Spare blankets pillows even electric blankets on the beds. Later check out of 11am which was nice because I don’t always sleep well in new places but I slept fine in the comfy beds.”

“The unit was spacious and mostly clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Good kitchen facilities which was well stocked with everything we needed and the handy location was not too far from what we had come to see. Liked the reusable glass milk bottle. Nice quiet motel even with the state highway running past it. Good off street parking.”

“I ended up changing my plans and approaching Kimbell from the opposite direction. i was also going to be later, but motel was accommodating about change in arrival time. This was good as I didn’t to then have to rush. Strangely I ended up not seeing any staff during my comfortable stay.”

“For the price it was clean and tidy. It had everything that you would want in the kitchen. They could upgrade their tv’s. The shower was super powerful. It was nicely situated just a short drive from fairle. The grounds were well looked after and it had lovely garden areas. I would recommend it to anyone needing a comfortable bed on the way to or from Tekapo.”
